About Me.
My name is Kim. I just moved to San Francisco.
I grew up in Georgia, and graduated from Georgia Tech, then moved to North Carolina after I got married. My whole life, I’ve lived in the “good ole south”. In Sept of 2010, my husband and I decided to move to San Francisco for his job. This is a very new experience for me because I’ve never lived in a big city, and the west coast is even more foreign (what? the sun actually touches the horizon when it sets?). This is going to be a grand adventure!
My favorite story:
In Dec of 2005, Georgia Tech’s football team played in the Emerald Nuts Bowl here in San Francisco. Since my husband (he was my fiance at the time) and I were in the marching band, we traveled with the team to SF for the game. When we first got to the city, we got on a bus and immediately headed to the hotel. I remember looking out the window of the bus and thinking this was the most beautiful city I’d ever seen. I looked at my fiance and said, “someday, I want to live here.” He laughed and replied, “we’re never gonna live here. It’s too expensive.”
